Last night Elyssa had her first experience walking outside, with shoes !!! She's been walking a lot in the house but whenever we're been out recently, we keep forgetting to bring her shoes. What to do.... forgetful mummy.
She absolutely loved her first walking experience in Tesco. She kept walking up and down the aisles while occasionally stopping to look and happily point at things. She certainly got a lot of attention from other shoppers and sales personnel!
I think the other person more excited than her was ME. Ha hah..... I got such an absolute thrill seing her walk around on her own. Afterall, she's usually "stuck" to someone, either being carried or being pushed in the stroller/shopping trolley. (And yes, I felt that familiar little tug in my heart which happens whenever I have a "oh, my princess is growing up so fast" moment. Gosh, at this rate, I'm going to have SERIOUS problems of letting go when she goes off to college or gets married next time! )

Ooops, ok, back to the walking. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera yesterday. So after dinner today, we went to Giant equipped with my old Olympus. Here are some photos taken just now.
Walking around @ Giant -
"Which pair of shoes should I pick?"
" I just love walking around! "
" Wah, this looks interesting"

Bravo!! Elyssa so clever!!
Better watch her carefully cos she will be running soon!! :-)
She is so curious about her surroundings ya. She is so cute. Gwen also refused holding my hands when she started walking. Really drives me crazy.
Mummy will be very fit! cos she will be chasing Elyssa.... this is the time that they can explore..they hv found their independence. :)
Can see that Elyssa's really excited and curious about her surroundings. Very soon she'll be running and mummy will be chasing after her :D

"These shoes were made for walking..." .. that is probably Elyssa's theme song now whenever she wants to go out kai kai!
i hv tried using the harness before...but i got so many stares from on-lookers at the mall hahaha...
they prob wont let us hold their hands (they prefer to be walking by themselves at this phase)...
but after some time, they insist us to carry them instead! hai...
do keep an eye on her since she starts walking and running soon!
*good achievement there, elyssa*
she look so happy walking around. ashley also didn't want me to hold her hands back then but i refused to let go cos i know i'll have to chase after her all the time :D
surely she will be running a lot now :)
When my brat was that age, he also hated me holding his hands. So i allowed him to explore. BIG MISTAKE! Now he cannot stop running!
Hahaha... you will be chasing after her all over the place very soon!!! Basically I couldn't do my shopping if I let my son run around at her age .. I spent all my time and energy chasing after him in the supermarket :D
cheers,
