My New Toy

After almost one year of contemplating, I finally decided to get myself a new toy last weekend. Yay !!!! Yup, a Kitchenaid Mixer.

Actually, after the decision to buy one, the next big decision was what colour. He he.... that's the problem when there's so many choices! Baby Pink? Boysenberry? Black? Red? Almond? Silver? In the end, I shortlisted to two choices - Boysenberry or Bright Red. Seriously...I stood at the counter for a good half hour staring at both models in front of me. My head was telling me NOT to get red since it's the most common colour but my heart was telling me go for it! Decided to follow my heart and I'm glad I did cos I just love, love, love the bright colour in my kitchen!!

My first loaf of bread.
Ok lah.... not exactly "pretty looking" but I'm still pleased with my first attempt :)

Rodney - sure, I can deliver to you...... but only if I can make reservations at Temptations@ Ara ;)

Irene - Ha ha... need to bake to take my mind of the mumbles and grumbles of the career part mah.

Chi2 - Not cheap at all! But breadmaking is really soooo easy with this new toy. No need to manually knead the dough.

Leona - oh yes, the smell of freshly baked bread from the oven is just heavenly!

Barbs - yup, that's the target!

Mery - thx!

Rachel - any guinea pigs are more than welcomed! Since my main objective now is to learn the baking part but don't want to eat too much. So far, my parents have been the happy guinea pigs :)

Yea, agree about the ROI part. Will have to bake A LOT of bread for that. But then the seller said can last 30 years so if I take that as true, then it's not so bad. he he.

Angeline - Dinner time almost here now! :)

nice!!!!!!! I was planning on getting one myself. My old Kenwood was inherited from my mum and it's over 15yrs old! You mean you used the KA to knead the bread dough? I would love to learn how to make breads! Previously, I used the bread maker which is a bit of a cheat :) PLease teach me ok??
