The concept of "you" and "me" can be confusing for a child. Like recently:
Elyssa : Afterwards, mummy read to YOU ok?
Me : Should say read to ME.
Elyssa : Ok. Afterwards, mummy read to ME.
Me : *smile*
Then, after her bedtime story:
Me : Good night my little princess. I love YOU.
Elyssa : Good night! I love ME !!!

HAHAHAHA!! So cute!! I find that a lot of kids get confused over this. :D
Hahaha... Vic was exactly like that too! Last time when we had our Maid No1 who pinched her, Vic hit the maid back in front of us and we reprimanded her. Then she said, "Scared scared Kakak hit YOU" and then we assured her that Kakak won't hit US... later we found out that YOU was herself.
there is a way to treat this.
put Elyssa on your lap. She dont face you. from there, u hold her hand and start pointing, me, you, there, him, her. She will grasp the concept very fast.
So cute.....
hehehehhe....that's cute. Her speech is very good :D
My son used to confuse with you and me, too!~
Hahaha...she is learning lah Mummy. :)
Hehe... this is so familiar. I think every kid with good logical thinking skill will assume "you" as "me" because that's what others use to refer to them.
Chloe was like this too but after I pointed it out to her a few times, she got it.
