We have Moved!

We survived the house move!

2 nights before the move

Moving Day

On the Moving Day itself plus the days before, I made sure I kept myself busy. Cos everytime I sat down and let my mind wonder, I could feel the tears coming.
After all, this was the house where we moved in as newly weds. This was the house where we painted the walls together. This was the house where we brought baby Elyssa and baby Erin home when they were just a few days old. This was the house where .......well, plenty of things happened!  Some not so good, but definitely many, many more good stuff.  Plenty of great memories.  *sigh*.

I'm gonna miss you House Number XX!!!

As for you, House Number YY, I look forward to creating beautiful memories ahead.

But before that, I need to deal with all the unpacked boxes......

Boxes, Boxes everywhere.

Curtains not done yet. Garden still looks like construction site. Master bathroom still not ready. Floors forever dirty cos workmen still coming in...

But slowly, this house is turning into a home  :)

Hey, with all the dust how are the kids "sleeping"? How come no gradual move one?

Yea, those beautiful memories... when I think I wanna move from my house I think of the memories here but mine dates back to close to 30 years.

Take care... good to have someone else to help clean the place. : )

Aww I didn't think of the emotional aspects of moving. Nvm, this is an upgrade. And the whole family is moving together.

But for now, yep, just don't think about it first.

Irene - Ideally, we should not have moved in. The house is just not ready yet. But no choice cos our house buyer wanted us out of the house. Super long story there but basically we are not even on speaking terms, only talk tru lawyers. Our main regret is selling to them!

Hey, it's ok if you earned a heavy premium from them, so you get the last laugh! Good thing is you always have refuge in your parents home to put the kids while you do the clean up!

Oh yes, I love the statement about a lovely bungalow! Hehe... but me no greedy, just a 4000sf semi-D will do, hehehehehe... right now I continue to dream : )
